RSE v25 FULL RELEASE




Hey so here is the full release of RSE v25. Read the included documentation for more help on how to use the new bot menu.  There are a lot of nice improvements so I hope you enjoy!


RSE v25 Changelog:

- new client included "alterIWnet 1.3.37 a++", improvements over alterRev:
        - better Windows 8 support
        - better windowed mode (with borders)

- added basic in-game bot menu
- fixed a bug that prevented players from earning killstreaks in some game modes
- improved when bots decide to run towards another player to melee, fixed running backwards
- improved smoothness of bot aiming
- improved how bots track other players with radar and sound
- fixed a bug that caused bots to spin after planting and defusing a bomb
- high skill bots with sniper rifles will now wear ghillie suits
- fixed a bug that caused bots to ignore shooting down UAVs and AC130s
- bots will now stop moving if they are flashed or stunned
- bots will now stop moving to use the stinger rocket launcher
- fixed a few animation bugs with bots carrying riot shields
- added more waypoint paths for the map "salvage"
- added 9 extra bot dialogue options
- other small bug fixes and improvements

  6. ok tested it and it works flawlessly except......bot skill seems not working for me. I selected "retarded" but their still shooting at me. I just copy pasted the files from the main folder, RSE_v25.iwd and Patch_v2.iwd. I don't have Patch_v1.iwd.

    1. hey alencore your welcome as always, i'm glad you like it!

      bots are meant to shoot at you on "retarded" difficulty, but they have much less accuracy, reaction time, and range. i might add an option in the future for bots to ignore you.

      i recommend switching to the new included alterIWnet client. it is the same as alterRev but it has much less bugs, such as proper windowed mode. you can carry over your progress from alterRev as well. but if you are still using bgamer, i understand why you would. i'm sure it will be updated in the future to fix the crashing bugs and then i will probably include it again.

    2. Yeah plz add the no shooting option that would be cool so my kid can enjoy it hehe. Even me sometimes I want the bot to just ran around but not shooting back for those super lazy frag fest day. Also make the retarded option more retarded hehe.

      As for the client I'm still using the same old launchers and client since I didn't applied the rse24 files just the older ones the one's I've been using since AIW but I'll double check.

  7. Hello,
    I do have an error, right after, any map loading gets finnished, and the error says:

    "Impure Client detected. Invalid .IWD files referenced! "

    Can anyone help me with it please.

    P.S.: I did not have any error on previous version

    1. you might have installed it wrong. Impure Client suggests that you have some files conflicting, possibly from having other clients or mods installed in the past. i recommend reinstalling your game. make sure you install a clean updated version of the game, it is recommended to download the game from steam.

    2. I had this exact same error many months ago.
      I had to buy the steam version to fix it... Very happy I did though.
      Go online and look for a cd key website and buy the cd key from there and you will be good to go :) (much cheaper that way)

  9. So I must say this version is really an improvement. Gameplay is much smoother, the bot menu is also very helpful. There are still some flaws however, not that much important but still. Sometimes bot animation goes wild, for example while dying their body disappears and their weapons tend to be flying in the air, but much rarely than in past versions. Just want to you know what you can eventually improve and further develop Joe. I have one question still. Can the bots go prone? I haven't actually see them doing that. It would be nice if bots could go prone with sniper rifle on various camping spots.

    1. i'm glad you like it. the bots are unable to use the prone stance. this is currently a limitation with the testclients, they are unable to maintain a prone stance on their own. i will continue to try to achieve this feature through other means but it will be hard. thanks for the feedback, i will definitely take those other points into consideration. i am aware and will continue to improve what i can!

  10. Also their seems to be a problem but on alteriwnet launcher side. While selecting "unlock all weapons and perks" error pops up.

  12. I just watched the video, and there is already an issue. I map my movement controls to the arrow keys. What am I suppose to do? I can't stand WASD, because its too easy to hit the wrong key by accident.

    1. Nevermind, just read the readme. Two questions though. First, will you be able to use secondary inventory items at all? Second, would I need to completely uninstall MW2 and RSE v24 in order to install version 25?

    2. i am unaware of the real functionality of the second inventory button, i always thought it didn't do anything, same as with the night vision button. i don't think they have a use in the multiplayer.

      you should be able to install RSE v25 by overwriting the files but i recommend removing all traces of RSE v24 and the previously used client before installing this release.

    1. yes BGamer runs faster because it is a cleaner, more "barebones" client. this is great because i definitely see higher FPS with the BGamer client.

      the alterRev client isn't too bad though, and with the newly included "alterIWnet 1.3.37 a++" client, some of the bugs have been fixed and improved.

  17. Hey there is Animamundi69 =) hey Mac , I have a problem with the RSE25 download. I try to open the file (with stuffit expander…I'm on mac) and it gives me the error "structure of the file is damaged" I never had a this problem before …any ideas? Either than that , my compliments for the mod's constant improvements! On that note , do you think you will ever be able to correct the running animations with the floating weapons?

    1. hey Animamundi. i use "The Unarchiver" for Mac. it works great for me, i think it is the best file extractor for the Mac.

      yes i hope to fix the floating guns at some point, but it is hard. so far all of my attempts have failed but i'm not done trying.

  21. You were right about the Windows 8/8.1 functionality , i cant express in words how much i wanted to play this game and now its finally working smoothly !
    Just waiting now for a way for Black Ops bots to work on W8 since they simply wont work with me...

    1. i will work on adding this but there is currently a good reason why i don't let bots strafe while shooting. bots need a certain command enabled so that they are accurate while shooting. this command also causes the bots to slide around uncontrollably. i fix this by using a method to anchor the bots to a stationary position to shoot. i'll attempt some different methods in the future.

    3. yes v16 used different methods, but it was also a lot more buggy. bots had very poor accuracy back then and they got stuck in geometry all the time.

  23. mw2 or shall I say more accurately, AlterIWnet is just so darn goodv + RSE25 in it = perfect! Aside cod4 it's the fastest cod game my old pc can handle plus all the bells and whistle are there working properly. can't tnc NTA enough for giving us a better mw2 client.
    Don't care what others say about cod graphics but their good enough afaic especially mw2-aiw.

    1. yea MW2 runs great as all the MW games do.

      NTA made so much possible for MW2. big respects for him.

      i haven't tried CoD4 on my system yet though. i have my CPU underclocked to 1.1 GHz and i still get 60 fps with settings turned on. BO2 and MW3 run very good for me too, i get 60 fps in those games as well. but in BO1 my fps is horrible, even on lowest settings and shadows off i frequently drop down to 30 fps in normal combat and chopper gunner is a 15 fps slide show! this is why i just gravitate to BO2 now because it runs so much better. BO1 was worst optimized CoD game for PC, along with WaW. its really nice to see that Treyarch finally stepped up their game with the PC version of BO2.

  24. Hey Mac ! Animamundi69 here, I was wandering if you ever considered improving cod 4 Pezbots . There is still a large community following cod 4 for a bunch of reasons ( tons of custom maps , weapons , skins …and of course playability ). Just curious =)

  25. @ Mac...I think you need to check cod4 and pezbot if you find time for it. It's still the best non ww2 cod but pezbot needs more work and hopefully you could do some improvements to it in the future and with cod4 mod tools I'm sure you'll find it much easier to work on.

    BO1 yeah framerate is a little laggy on me too, BO2 is truly well optimize for us pc users.
    mw3 it's ok but I like mw2 sharper crispier graphics, tnx to NTA personal optimization to it. Waw it's a little laggy for me to but pezbot works great here except some maps that needs some wpts finetuning. Took me ages before I got it working bec. of that pesky hidden folder my bugged OS can't show.

    Anyway keep up the good work on our dear cod bots, life is good hehe!

    4. CoD4 is easier to mod than MW2. I use to play CoD4 with http://www.leetmod.pt.am/ and its awesome. To bad bots are useless. Animamundi69 is tottaly right.

  26. Hey thanks so much for this mod!
    But I have recently understood how you made the menu and I added some options to it as well like wallhack, and slow mo too. But one thing I didnt understand was how to use the TYPE_BOOL function because you didnt use it in anything, could you explain how to use it? :)

      BOOL is boolean function. its essentially a toggle switch for changing commands from [True] to [False] and back to [True] again. i didn't need it for this release. for v26 i will probably use it for some of the new commands i add to the menu.

I'm always amazed by how many comments you get on your releases, I thought I was the only one who enjoyed playing against bots on older CoD games but then again in life, there is so many people that there is bound to be someone else out there like you, and it is practically impossible to be truly unique.

    1. your welcome! i am surprised as well with how many people are interested! i felt the same way, i thought i was the only one who liked playing with bots too. back in the early 2000's when i had no internet, i played games like Battlefront 2 and UT with bots offline and with friends on LAN. it was a blast, and since then i was never able to recapture that feeling until i started working on this!

    2. Yeah I remember it too,Battlefield,Battlefront,Counter Strike,Unreal Tournament...man,those were the good old days when almost all games had decent bots...nowdays there's just too much emphasis on man vs man,but boy do I more like to relax with ai driven killing machines :D

  29. Hey Joe. Found two bugs on Favela and Bailout.

    This one speaks for itself. Bot got stuck in air and was there whole match. Others bots seemed to ignore him.

    For the Bailout I don't have picture yet, but it happens near a bridge and tank. Bots seem to float in the air outside map, walk there and after that they are back on ground again.

    1. But man, I must say again the bots are getting more awesome and more. They can be really smart. How surprised I was when suddenly they EMP-ed me or knifed me in the back while camping. Also you would need to improve their hit detection. If they are static or turned to you front or back it's ok to shoot them, but when they are running shooting them from side often doesn't count. And what is their running speed anyway? I felt that it was faster than player's speed? Last thing: not very important but they could use their grenades (or overall whole equipment) more often.

    2. thanks for the feedback and picture. on favela it looks like the bot got stuck in the geometry. this could happen if the waypoint was placed too close to a wall. i will go and fix that waypoint and it should prevent that particular problem from happening again. its hard to find every glitch such as those because they tend to be very rare occurrences at this point.

      as for the glitch on bailout, i need more clarification. so you are saying the bot decides to walk outside of the map, then turns around and walks back? this sounds familiar to an old glitch i thought i fixed related to code for locating care packages. did you notice any care packages on the ground somewhere on the map? i'll keep an eye out for this issue and if i notice it i will try to fix it, it seems to be rare now as i have not encountered it for months.

      i spent a lot of time calculating appropriate running speed. if they have lightweight perk, they will run as fast as someone with a lightweight perk. currently in this version, the weapon they are holding does not affect their speed so this is something i could implement in the future.

      as for hit detection, the reason why it is reduced when bots are running is because i have to hide some body parts for animations to look good. i try to keep as many parts available as possible for the best hit detection while still making the animation look good without any clipping and merging models. i will try to tweak this further, i might be able to achieve better results.

  30. I assume you didn't have any luck implementing leaning? Also, would it be possible to backport some of the RSE code to W@W? W@W is the only WWII CoD that offers the custom class-based multiplayer, and also has tanks (the only other CoD game with vehicles in multiplayer is the United Offensive expansion for the original game).

    1. i might be able to do leaning but it would interfere with the limited control options that are available, so it wouldn't be included with RSE. i've already used up the last 2 unused buttons of the game for the bot menu.

      yes i will try to port RSE to WaW and CoD4. this seems like it would be easier than improving the PeZBOT code from those games.

  31. Best thing what i saw was that a bot said another hacked lobby im out bro and actualy left. hahaha that had me cry from laughter. anyways i noticed the bots have no footstep sound. is that gonna be a add on? anyway, great and awsome mod !!!

  33. macporterjoe thanks for this awesome mod, it really is much better with every version! I have a problem though, which was not present in version 23 (the last I played). How can I change fov of the game? There is no RSE config file anymore and I have changed the fov to 80 in config_mp.cfg file, but in game I still have the default value of 65.

  34. Love it but damn, even on "Retarded" they still kill me so fast and usually with a headshot, like *snap* an *pow!* right in the kisser.... Also in last stand a lot with an 1887. I play BF3 and 4 a lot and usually come in the top 3, but this....wow...is there an option somewhere to reduce their reaction speed perhaps?. Love the mod though, excellent work on it!.

    -also sometimes the dual shotguns are way off their hands as in their a little up.
    -death animation sometimes disappear as if I just shot them with
    some sort of sci-fi ionizer weapon hehe.

    1. yes these are all good points, but the animation issues you described won't be easy to fix.

      bots don't sprint on retarded difficulty. i'll probably redesign some things for v27 (such as weapon distribution), and i'll try to make retarded even retardeder lol

  36. Im playing some time with diehard mode and Im wondering: is it possible to make bots revive each other(that includes player also)? The other thing that bothers me is lack of ammo. Im playing in devmode and tried to use sf_use_ignoreammo 1 and player_sustainammo 1 but neither works in this client, it worked in BG gamer client. I tried to add codes to _rank.gsc in patch_mp.ff but the FFviewer gives me overflow warning. Is it posible to add this "addAmmo" codes to RSE mod gsc files?

    1. in MW2 there is no native reviving functionality... this is only in BO1. it might be possible to add reviving to the game with mods but my focus with RSE for now is to provide the best A.I. bots for the vanilla game, not to change how the game works.

      as for commands, BGamer client had an open console, but alteriw client does not. you can't change some commands in alteriw because they are protected. adding them to gsc won't fix this.

      what is this "devmode" you mentioned?

At first, I make the rules and start the game. when the map loads, I put this in console: "devmap mp_derail; bullet_penetration_enabled 0; player_sprintUnlimited 1; scr_war_numlives 1; scr_war_winlimit 12; scr_war_roundlimit 24; scr_diehard 1; scr_war_timelimit 3". Devmode gives me some extra commands - cheats. It only blocks me to use unlimited ammo.

    1. no there is no client for Ghosts. it isn't being focused on as much, probably because it is less popular. looking at the stats on steam, BO2 has double the people playing, even MW3 and MW2 have more people playing!

    2. Yeah somehow I felt that this is worst CoD by now but curiousity led me to download it from Skidrow. Single is nothing new, but I wanted to check out multi and this exctinction mode but sadly it is yet to be cracked. For what I've heard the multi there has bots and vehicles so it could be fun.

I don't know how others made it but i don't understand why the bot is supporting "alterwnet" since is dead long time ago and our other only option besides original it's repz and i for ex i cant even use this bot with it, i was expecting something simple as pezbot just put id in mods and everyone is happy.

    1. well technically it is as simple as adding "RSE_v25.iwd" to your "main" folder. the issue comes in with the fact that MW2 needed to be modified to add features such as mod support and LAN/offline functionality. you can play RSE with any MW2 client that supports it, but not all clients do. for instance, the more recent clients such as aiw3 wouldn't work with RSE because they prevent bots from spawning. they did this intentionally to stop people from boosting (i think). also some older clients don't have mod support so they can't be used either.

      this is why i include a client with every package.

  39. Would be possible to add more waypoints for all maps? Because it seems there is only 1 path on most maps and the bots are going the same way each time. They take random routes, but their actual path is always the same (only 1 waypoint at a given location). And they also seem to cheat a little bit. They aim too fast, like aimbot and see me even when I'm laying in the grass or behind an obstruction. Besides that, this mod is superb! Finally I can play the maps I want. If you only could fix these issues, this would be the best game ever.

    1. All type bots will shoot you behind grasses and stuff coz they find enemies by this tracelines or whatever and not by visual perspective we dumb humans do hehe.
      Of course Mac can add some codes to prevent them from shooting at
      grasses or any func_illusionary entities within the maps.

  40. Most of this flaws can't be removed, but only minimized I think. But your point about waypoints is true. Bots could use more paths on maps.

    1. the problem with adding waypoints is that it creates lag, ALOT of lag. this is because when a bot decides to pick a random path, it will go through a list of every waypoint on the map, and will consider every link between every waypoint as well. the more waypoints (and links) that are on the map, the longer this process takes and the more CPU required and the server will get bogged down as well. so adding more waypoints isn't an option. maybe i can adapt a kind of "radius" system for waypoints where bots will walk to a waypoint within a certain distance of tolerance to the center, so bots won't move perfectly to the same exact point. i saw this implemented very well with rcbot2. and this way i could customize the radius based on if the waypoint is in open space (make a large radius) or if the waypoint is in a doorway or closed space (make a small radius)...

      You could try using a tree based system, whereas each waypoint is a node, and each node is linked to others creating a web.
      This way the bots would only have to look at the linked waypoint relative to the last one they passed through.

    3. yes the bots already do that. i was talking about when a bot chooses a destination when patrolling. this is randomly chosen among all waypoints, then creates shortest path to that destination. choosing shortest path applies to all path finding (objective, enemy location from UAV, patrol, etc.). this is why bots seem to go the same way, because it is the quickest way! i may at some point implement more personality traits for bots where some will choose the longest path on purpose in an attempt to be sneaky or less predictable.

  41. After playing with ACR mods in Fallout 3 and New Vegas, and reading up on the ACR, i feel the ACR in this game doesn't do its real life counterpart any justice. I wish there is a way to expand upon its attachments in this game.

  42. Alright, I've had RSE v25 for MW2 since the day it came out. Only problem is that I'm mainly an Xbox player, so PC comes hard to me. I actually use an Xbox controller to play MW2, but the bots are still hard to kill. Is there any way that I can change the type of weapon that the bots use? Specifically like a sniper?

    1.my teammates have red names, so they look like enemies, but i can't kill them, problem is that everyone has red names, so i don't know who my teammates and enemies are

    2.on the radar, my teammates don't have green arrows, but i have my gold arrow

    should'nt my teammates have green names and green arrows on the radar

    2. ok i found the problem, i have both v14 and v25, i have version 14 installed because when i extract v25 to folder described the game wont work

      when i make shortcut of the 3 files in the folder this is where everything goes wrong

      i start iwnetserver and extreme injector and iw4mp, but when i start iw4mp.exe it immediately stops responding

      so i use my regular mw2 multiplayer exe from nosteam

      but when i start this one, the extreme injector doesn't disapear like usual, it is blank so i add the correct exe and the mw2_modder.dll and it still wont disapear, please help

    3. you can extract v25 from the IWD, then tell the injector to inject the v25 extracted folder. this will work, but i really recommend installing a new client that has mod support so that you don't have to use an injector. with mod support you can just place the "RSE_v25.iwd" in your "main" folder and the game will load it automatically.

  44. Is there anyway you can add a killstreak counter to the mod? Like a little number in the bottom corner that tells you what your killstreak is because I like to go for killstreak less nukes and I lose count on how many kills I have all the time

  50. I noticed another thing. While bots are standing still their heat can be seen through termal scope fine. But when they are moving they don't emit any heat, so it's like they have Cold Blooded perk - even when they don't.

    1. I noticed that thing too. It seems they have multiple perks. The very funny thing is they (probably)use "Stopping Power" perk even they aiming head. Today, during the gameplay on "derail", bot turn on its invisibility killing everyone in radius of 6 meters from bug spot. Weird ...

    2. no they don't have multiple perks. they are only given 3 perks as they should. the reason why they don't glow in thermal scope when moving is because their models switch to script modeling which has different properties to the real living models. i was aware of this but i might not be able to fix it. this might be "hard coded" and unchangeable.

    4. no, they only shoot while standing still for a different reason. command that allows for accuracy causes bots to slide uncontrollably. i anchor the bots to one position when this command is enabled to prevent the sliding. i could implement a very restricted strafing system for bots. i'll try to work on this.

    1. you can already play with bots offline using their current release. but yes hopefully this will be the case and we could do LAN ranking up but make sure you let them know that this is what you want so that they know this is in high demand.

  53. Hey Joe! Could you made bots have more variety of weapons on retarted skill? They use assault rifles, snipers, lmgs, lethal and tactical grenades and even nade launchers, but on retarted they seem only to use shotguns and smgs.

  56. haha that sounds found! i've always wanted to edit mw2 just what I did on cod4 like adding more ammos, higher rof and making my ak47 a freakin full auto shot gun with 30 pellets at a range of 1000 + max damage hahaha bot slaughter to the max and I'm way less skilled bec. of it haha!

Ok tested this fun version of RSE25 ...E7ite's_RSE_v25__Edit.zip posted above...but yeah it needs to save the chosen features coz it's quite a task re-choosing re-enabling them again after each respawn but it was so much fun! Good work!!! Hope it gets updated soon coz I love it hahahaha!!! Those exploding bullets are just awesome! Add also a god mode or non shooting bots if possible. Tnx man!

So it has been like 3 years since I last checked up on MW2 and this bot mod, the last version I played was the one I intended to release but never did (think it was version 10 or 11 I can't even remember). I can't BELIEVE the progress that's been made, I would have to get my MW2 out and see if this is indeed the real thing. I'm extremely impressed and my mind is blown that this mod is still alive, thank you and well done!

      I wish I had the time to go through this mod's code and see how the developer managed to fix/add some of the features (Like the bots moving their Legs! I spent DAYS trying to get that to work). I'll at least try and find some time to get out MW2 and play some matches with this mod.

    5. Hey macporterjoe, I played a couple of rounds yesterday. I must say, the bots are better than I could ever have imagined. I also quickly went through the code and was impressed by how you implemented some of the features and how you manged to clean up all of my "dirty" code, kudos on that.

      Unfortunately I am very busy with finishing my degree this year (computer science is no joke :|) so I don't think that I'll be able to come out of "retirement" just yet, but while I was going through the code it looked to me like you made no changes to the A* search algorithm. I would have liked to give it a make over (mostly out of personal interest to see how it would influence the bots path decisions), but sadly I don't think that I would have the time for that.

      I will definitely follow the mod more closely now and every now and then I might open up the code and play around with it a bit, but I don't think that any of my additions would be for public use. Maybe in the future I'll send you some of my changes to ask your opinion on them, who knows.

      Again, thanks for all the brilliant work that you did and feel free to send me an email if you ever need a second opinion on something.

      P.S. It's been years since I used MW2 so I might just be out of the game a bit, but I had some issues getting the mod to load. It didn't automatically load the mod, I had to copy&paste the .iwd file into the mod folder and load it up with the fs_game mods/RSE;vid_restart; console commands. Is there anything obvious that I'm forgetting to do? I just pasted the mod files into my old IWNet folder and ran the launcher, I can't see how I can be doing anything wrong. I think it might just be the alterIWNet version that I have.

    6. thanks tinkie, it means a lot coming from you. i've been working on this for nearly 2 years now. i actually almost gave up several times along the way due to frustration since i was primarily doing it by myself and i'm basically self-taught C++ just by studying your code/PeZBOT code. to be fair to my friend INeedGames, we indirectly collaborated on the project in a few areas so he deserves recognition as well. he split off and made his own version of RSE called "Bot Warfare" with his main focus being on mod menu options. he normally posted his releases on the MW2 project forums like aIW but i don't think he has posted anything recently.

      yea i never quite got around to changing the A* search algorithm yet. to be honest i still don't 100% understand that part yet, but as you can see i literally rewrote everything else in the mod. i have no plans to stop working on this since i still have a lot of ideas to implement.

      i wanted to thank you too for your original efforts on this project because i wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you. and i don't want to give you the impression that i've taken over or anything. if at any point you would like to come back i would be more than willing to give you equal control of the project. anyway the best place to contact me would be on steam. my steam name is "apdonato", you can add me if you want. i'll also try to find your email. good luck with your degree!

      regarding your P.S., that might be a problem with the alterIWNet version that you are using. the client included with the latest v25 package (aIW 1.3.37a++) has native automatic mod loading. so you can just place the .iwd into your "main" folder. then start the game and it should be loaded automatically.

    3. i know! it is completely retarded and idiotic of DICE (bf devs) for ignoring bot support, especially since it was included with the old games! Battlefield 4 even had a "training mode" where you ran around the map by yourself testing vehicles, but there is no A.I. bot mode! i swear i feel these jerks did it on purpose. i really think bots aren't included in the newer games because it would increase the longevity of the game and they don't want that! they want you to continue buying their new games! this is something that has frustrated me for years and i will continue boycotting bf games as long as they stand by these stupid decisions and i suggest you do the same!

    4. Today, I received email from Origin about Battlefield 4 (play for 168 hours). I tried it. Since there is no bot mod and coop, I deleted it. Games which I play every day: GTA 4, MW2, Skyrim, Far Cry 2, Just Cause 2 and I just instaled ARMA 3 for the first time. I forgot to mention Ghost Recon AW2 and Rainbow 6 Vegas 2.

  68. Hello, I've installed the mod as instructed, and when I open the launcher, either the host program closes with no warning, or the game just does not open. I've tried opening as administrator and it didn't change anything. I had a previous version installed that one day stopped working as well and I'm trying to find the cause of the problem. If someone could help me it would be appreciated. I have the skidrow version of mw2 installed if that helps at all.

    2. I have the same problem (steam version, so it´s the original) and I don´t to fix it, but I want to say, the RSE v24 release (with bgIW4 client) works perfectly. I think its the using iw4mp.exe or some other files. So I think, we have to play the v24 release, until a new .exe will be released. If no new version is planned, the v24 is the newest version, that´s still working. Sorry for bad english

    3. You forgot to copy-paste some files from RSE_v25_Package to game folders. Trust me, the same thing happends to me. It could be administrator issue. I had a serious problem with this alterIWnet client when my internet provider disconected me. I was trying everything and anything but I have received the same error. After some time, I upgrated my Win7 and error was fixed. Weird ... :-/

    4. No, I´ve copied all the things in the mw2 directory. I don´t miss anything. About 3 weeks ago (last time I played it, because now I live in another city and we have new internet provider), it worked properly all the time, but since 2 days, it won´t work. MW2 is just don´t open. I really don´t know why. Something is wrong with the client. Though nothing really changed. bgIW4 is good but alteriwnet 1.3.37a++ was better, I want it back -.-

    5. Hello, I´m back again (I´m the one who wrote the second and last reply). I found out, that you can play v25 with the RepZIW Client. Unfortunately you can only play this mod, when the server is online, there is no offline client. Just download the v25 and place the RSE_25.iwd file and Patch_v2.iwd (both in main folder) in your mods folder of Modern Warfare 2 RepZ Client. But create a new folder there with name "RSE25". Then start the game (RepZIW4 Client) and switch to destkop. In the external console you copy this: (fs_game mods/RSE25;vid_restart) without (). Thats the method of v10, which I played long time ago and there you had to to this. So, then switch back to game and create a private match. You can only play private, because in RepZIW they removed the matchmaking function. PS: Everytime you want to play against bots, you have to copy the line above in the external console. I hope you understand my "tutorial" :D If yes, enjoy the newest bot client, which is brilliant. But I hope, the v26 Client of RSE will work

  69. Welcome back Joe :D So as you except I have couple of things to say about bots.
    You should made the bots slower with attacking knife, because most of the time they knife you when you barerly show your nose outside a corner.
    Also, I noticed that bots don't accelerate while moving, they instantly move with full speed, that's why I always had a feeling that they are faster than normal player.
    Last thing that is not really important. You could made them use minigun emplacements on certain maps (Wasteland, Overgrown, Karachi etc.).

    1. Just use RepZIW4 Client. There you can change FOV, what i really missed in the used Client for v25. Now its not working anymore (for me and some others). Put the RSE_25.iwd file and the Patch_v2.iwd file in your Modern Warfare 2 folder and there in "mods/RSE25" (you have to create a new folder in mods). Then start RepZ and load the mod and create a private match. Enjoy the mod. PS: Does anyone have the same problem as i have? On Wasteland, I get everytime a "aimtagetpos... cannot find tag..." error. How to fix it?

    1. nice video! i added it to the MW2 Media section so that it gets more views. i see you like the AC130. i changed killstreak distribution for bots so in v26 bots will use the AC130 and Chopper gunner a bit more often :)

    2. Yeah AC130 is one of my fav killstreaks, but I wanted to show that they can use it very good aswell. In fact when I played earlier on easy they weren't using high kill killstreaks often but when I started to record it, air filled with ac130s, pavelows and harriers :P Like those robotic bastards knew im recording :P

    3. someone made some bots for mw3 but running on mw3 fourdeltaone client now discontinued...those bots just spin around since it's based on RSE. once an offline client for mw3 is made probably Mac con port his bot to it but it's too complex as there's no real mod support on mw3 unless someone can mod the game for it.

    When I open the AlterIW launcher and I choose AlterIWnet Multiplayer, after sometime says to me "System.Net.WebException No se puede resolver el nombre remoto 'alteriw.net'. Can be that the spanish version affects the game?

I've tried playing MW2 Online and I've only found hacked lobbies. MW2 is one of my favorite cod games so I'm glad I get to enjoy it again :D
