RSE v32 FULL RELEASE


A quick update but some big changes. Feedback is appreciated.


RSE v32 Changelog:

rse bots v32 changes:

    highlights:

    -improved performance (various code clean up/optimization and added/increased time delays for certain processes)
    -bot awareness and reaction time is improved (bots respond to threats quicker and are therefore more challenging)
    -improved movement of bots
    -improved bot hit detection

    bug fixes:

    -fixed a bug with pathfinding that caused bots to be in limbo (walking between 2 waypoints until they died or their objective changed)
    -fixed a bug with bots sometimes leaving a movement animation for a brief period after they died
    -fixed a bug that caused bots to move while using an ac130 or chopper gunner

  4. Are you going to implement the feature for bots to climb ladders with the climbing animations so they can get up to for e.g that big platform in terminal opposite the plane? If it's possible, it would be well cool

    1. Bots can gain the upper advantage over everyone else if they decide to stop and camp right after getting to the top of where the ladder led,or if they decided to plant a claymore af the top or just in general get a birds eye view of its enemies. Is this possible?

  5. I want to ask...is this version of RSE including the waypoint of DLC map pack ?? If yes, I want to try it :)

  7. It has an error that says "Fastfile for zone 'patch_alter_mp' is newer than client executable (version 277, expecting 276). How do you fix that?

  8. I am glad, that you're constantly improving the bots. Please don't get me wrong, but I think that since few releases they have become too good. They cheat like crazy and their accuracy is ridiculous. Basically they play like somebody with aimbot and wallhack, killing me with 2 shots from the very end of the map. I know they rely on UAV, but it's impossible to hide, because I often get killed through wall or another obstacle like vegetation, random boxes and even smoke, which seems to be ignored by bots - they still see you.

    If you could reduce their horrendous accuracy and make them not shooting through walls (at least not as accurately like now) it would be great.

    And there is another problem, this one is related to waypoints. I don't know what's going on, but when bot is trying to get to higher level he is levitating instead of climbing. He does it in places where it's physically impossible to do it (ceiling, walls etc.), it looks like no-clipping cheat or something. Therefore they're reaching impossible places like building roofs on Skidrow or top of planes on Terminal.

    1. 1. if you have a problem with how good they are you can always lower the difficulty in the menu.

      2. looking through vegetation and a few other object types has to do with the BulletTrace function i use to simulate whether or not a bot can see you. basically if a bot can hit you with bullets, they can see you. this includes vegetation since you can shoot through vegetation. this is something i would like to improve in the future. honestly though shooting through walls isn't really an issue anymore so you shouldn't really encounter this (or its pretty rare).

      3. bots don't have mantle/climbing animations yet but it would be something i'd like to implement at some point.

      4. as for bugs with bots somehow getting on the roof of planes etc. this was an issue a few versions ago because i made some waypoint following variables too broad so bots didn't follow waypoint paths as accurately, causing them to clip more often and appear on rooftops occasionally. this has been fixed now so you shouldn't notice that problem anymore. there is however still a shortcut i implemented that offers a nice performance boost where a bot will approximate the waypoints they can go to which can lead to some illegal maneuvers. its a price to pay for better performance.

    2. also bots don't just act like smoke isn't there. if you are inside of smoke, bots will only see you if you are very close to them (almost within melee distance). smoke grenades are useful against bots.

  9. So based on your reply to that guy above me, are bots being able to climb ladders and that with the animations a future implementation? apart from that, really enjoying the mod.

    Does RSE only work on the Steam version of the game?
    And if it doesn't, does it works on the MP+SP Pirated version by AviaRa?
