MW2 RSE v35 FULL RELEASE


I'm very excited about this release. This version represents nearly five months of on-and-off work and as a result there are a lot of changes and improvements. I hope you all enjoy it! Hopefully it was worth the wait.

MW2 RSE v35 CHANGELOG:

-improved performance
-added new bot difficulty for team-based game modes "European Extreme"
-reintroduced camping (bots will now go to corners of rooms, corners of the map, and vantage points)
-bots will now scan the environment when they are not moving or engaging a target
-removed bot parking
-fixed a bug that caused bots to not play a death animation when they died
-bots can now choose any weapon regardless of their skill (likelihood is still based on skill)
-improved how bots use the throwing knife
-reduced reaction time for all skill levels by 0.05 seconds
-bots will use explosives and equipment more often
-reduced the effectiveness of smoke grenades at obscuring the vision of bots
-regular bots (in addition to recruit) will now tend to do "safe" picks for their killstreak loadout (such as uav => care package => predator)
-hardened bots (in addition to veteran) will now tend to do "try hard" picks for their killstreak loadout (such as harrier => chopper gunner => nuke)
-improved consistency of bots triggering claymores
-default player sizes on rust are now 6 vs 6 for team-based modes and 8 players for ffa
-fixed a bug with bots not using killstreaks that they earned (particularly with chopper gunners and ac130s)
-improved code to prevent bots from spamming rounds when using semi-automatic sniper rifles
-bots will not talk as often
-bots will use quick messages more often
-changed a bot dialogue option
-added 4 more bot dialogue options

  1. Tried it on "Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Full Game +autoupdate-=AviaRa=-" version, gives me the script compile error when I start the game. Any reccomendation on which version of game should I use? I remember it working well with NOsTeam version, but can't seem to find it anymore. Btw, nice work! Thanks!

    2. As I remember. My 1.0 nosteam version patched to include the DLC maps had me with the mp_strike and mp_favela loading error. Recently got the FitGirl repack and it works perfectly.

  6. I skipped some versions, but started to play again using v35. So, I have to say, I just played domination with "European Extreme" bots. My team was no help at all haha. They had a good time staying at a spot and not take flags. I don´t know if they were camping or just stuck. They also lost almost every 1vs1, top bot fragger in the other team had more than 2x kills like I had. With "Mixed" bots we won pretty clearly (My team: 200 Other team: 51). I honestly think that I just had bad luck with my team.

    And one of my bots stood right on the staircase to the upper floor on Skidrow, blocking me to not get the bomb defused.

  8. I'm going to give some feedback of this version and some issues I've been experiencing.
    -------------
    Problems: Bots will often clip inside of each other, get stuck in the spawn or some other random place on the map, sometimes they will glide across the ground instead of sprinting, akimbo weapons don't seem to be in their hands but a little ways in front of them, and the bots can clip through objects like glass or low walls.

    Recommendations: Make the bots a little smarter by having strategies, often bots will go to the same spot over and over and get mowed down, make them care about living. They can snap aim to you even when your behind something and cannot be seen. This could be fixed by making the bot play smarter instead of having unfairly good aim.

    1. Played on "Wasteland", a bot with a vector in the enemy team got the most kills, the bots have such a crazy accuracy and see very far.

      Yeah, you can´t pre-shoot many times, because their movement isn´t smooth. Infinity Ward was too lazy to think about including bots.

    2. Bots are able to glitch through the staircase in the basement at the estate on (of course) "Estate". Bots, that are stuck at spawn don´t even react to shooting, so you have a free kill and headshot.

      Sure, there are quite some problems, but it´s definitely fun to play with the bots, I mean, they´re made unofficially! And one of the recent versions firstly included footstep sounds for them. It´s just great.

  10. Hey macporterjoe, I have two small questions.

    1) Is there a way to pass commands such as scr_xpscale to the client or server in order to auto set them rather then having to alt-tab and type them into the console everytime the game is launched?

    2) Is there a command to start a game if your the only one in a lobby and if so is there a way to bind that command to a key or something so I can easily call it without alt-tabbing? (Note: I'm aware you can just do private match solo I'm just curious on whether or not this can be done.)

    1. hi, to answer your questions:

      1) yes, you should be able to by adding the command to /maps/mp/gametypes/_rank.gsc in init() after unpacking the rse bots .iwd file (change .iwd to .zip and decompress)

      setdvar( "scr_xpscale", "2" ); or setclientdvar( "scr_xpscale", "2" );

      maybe the commands are defined somewhere in _rank.gsc so you might need to change what was defined.

      then pack up the folders (maps and bots) into an .iwd again.

      2) i remember xpartygo was used for black ops 2 (typed in the console) but i'm not sure if it works for MW2. there is an external program i used to include in old versions of RSE (v25? maybe earlier) that allowed you to start matchmaking with a press of a button (F3?). i don't include it anymore since private match is ranked now.

      Also have you ever thought about the idea of putting your code for the bots on GitHub or something similar so people could learn from it or so you could pick up potential contributors to your mod? Or is that not really your thing? I know the authors of promod for cod4 put it up on GitHub and I was just wondering what you opinion was on doing something like that.

    4. Where exactly in the rank.gsc file do you add those lines and have it work? I tried that just now, but when I did, it made the commands for spawning bots do nothing.

  12. Best way to change FOV in Alteriwnet: Bind the command to an used key like W (if you´re using WASD for moving). Put this into players/config_mp.cfg: bind W "+forward; cg_fov 80"

    80 is the highest FOV available in Alteriwnet.

    I've a small question, I'm running into an error when launching the game, it appears to go well initially (both iw4sp.exe and iw4mphost.bat) but then on both occasions gives me an error with "Couldn't load image 'specialty_new'" and aborts the launch. Could you help me?

    1. Looks like corrupt game files. Verify MW2 through Steam or redownload MW2. What is the game language?

  17. I want to provide some more feedback for MW2 RSE(using v35).

    Compared to versions that are older than two years, you have made many improvements, appreciate that. Unfortunately, bots are still often stuck in spawn, sometimes they scan the environment, the other time you get an easy free kill. I think you´ve said something about an "unstuck process". Yeah at times they will commit suicide but not everytime and not fast enough. Painful in DOM and DEM because you don´t get enough assistance. I even think bots don´t defuse a bomb in some cases, which is annoying or makes it too easy. And yesterday I had a domination match on Quarry and we won 200-0. The enemy team never got a flag, though they often started to take a flag but didn´t care, they just walked by.

    (Skilled) bots glitch through walls if they hear you shooting nearby.

    I wish bots could see your head and shoot at it, you can hide behind a object to see their heads and they won´t do anything. Did that at the B flag behind the trash can on Favela. Bots wanted to capture that flag but I just could shoot them all down. They looked in my direction but didn´t react. And I played with Veteran bots.

    So, European Extreme puts Recruit bots in your team and Veteran bots in the enemy team? I think that´s why I had such a bad match on Karachi a while ago.

    The last thing: Sadly you can spawntrap the enemy easily at the C flag in DOM in Favela. There is a narrow path (where you can go into the laundromat), the bots won´t go another way.

    I´m ok with bots shooting through some things and you don´t really have much of a chance (big example: Highrise), I´m sure it´s difficult to set it up.

    Still of course, better to have a bot mod than none.

  18. I just used RSE in the IW4X client and the bots behaviour is a bit different from the provided AlterIwNet client. They shoot at the beginning of a round for half a minute (which is a problem for hardcore matches). They somehow have NAMES (somewhat, like "/dev/Flux").

    3. It´s happening quite often. I can say, every other map in the game works perfectly. It´s only "Terminal". Not sure why. Anyone has this problem too?

    4. Yes i've noticed this as well, though i always assumed it was due to the PC port. then again, i don't remember what it was like playing terminal without the mod so i'll look into if the waypoint file is somehow causing stuttering.

No, I´m sure I didn´t have this on my old (really bad) PC, I had the money to buy a new one from a online store (I highly recommend everyone to build your own computer, because I regret to buy it for over 2000 € and it just doesn´t work right). It happens in vanilla MW2 and vanilla MW3 as well, even if they´re installed on my SSD. I get a quite big fps drop for a sec if I enter the cave on Afghan. I have such sudden fps drops in CS:GO and Battlefield too, that´s why I don´t want to play online. Even YouTube videos lag, they should play with 60 fps but every ten seconds I get 20 fps or so.

    6. @macporterjoe will plutonium possibly do modern warfare 3 bots? E.G Bots use either support or assault packages or bots and bots use any type of point streaks no matter what difficulty. and if they do that they could just act like regular MW2 bots. If so that would be great, I highly dislike playing online because of hackers and other things, bots are classic and even better than normal players, they don't rage or anything.

  20. And playing "Search and Destroy" isn´t that exciting. Defending bots always camp directly at the bombsites. Too predictable. I wished they would take some positions around a bombsite.

    I played CTF yesterday and one of my bot mates trolled. He just ran with the flag through the map all the time and he didn´t take it back to our base. Bots should play more the objectives.

    1. But surely, get rid of stuck bots would be a highlight. It´s gamebreaking especially for Search and Destroy. I just had three enemy bots stuck in their spawn, I could easily defuse the bomb.

    2. the bots getting stuck bug has bothered me for years and i still don't know what is causing it.

      i think the trolling bot happens if a bot who doesn't follow the objective takes the flag by accident (by running over while trying to get somewhere else). i can fix it by adding a condition for this situation.

      also i agree, some of the modes don't have enough bots following the objective. i tried to limit it somewhat because it looks unnatural if all of the bots follow the objective (and also negates some of the code written for TDM scenarios such as following radar blips).

    1. Don´t want to treat this as a forum, but there´s no other way.

      In the case of Plutonium, I´m serious. I´m ONLY interested in bots. Like many others and you Joe. And I´m not interested in playing with other real guys in any way .In discord they said "Bring players and the update will be pushed". It´s just Plutonium is interesting and could work as a client for bots. I could donate to them but maybe it´s not the same as playing on their servers to motivate the staff. Uhm yeah, I have to say, I wish they would only focus on giving mod support and offline mode. I don´t want to see Plutonium die too early. But only bots let games alive.

Yeah of course it´s good because BO2 offline leveling isn´t that fun for me and they may provide a better experinece, but working on two different CoD games :( It´s gonna slow down the MW3 project which I´m more interested in. But I won´t say "NO" to a more working BO2 client, IF I can level up with playing against bots.

  22. This is so awesome. I have a question. I swear I saw this question somewhere else but can't remember where so just figured I would ask on here. So everytime I watch a killcam the bots do not ADS. I mean they are still hella accurate so It's not a deal breaker lol. just curious if they are supposed to do this or if I did something wrong on the install or something. either way This is the best mod ever.

    1. this mod was mostly possible through the use of hacks, illusions, and compromises because a lot of the functions/aspects of the game engine that produce the desired results are either not known or not accessible by people like you and me. in other words, there are a lot of limitations without developer tools. i like to think ADS is possible to implement with what is available to us but its very much exploratory/experiment-oriented development. the solution might be discovered but it might not. the compromise in the meantime is to reduce the hip fire spread to simulate the accuracy of ADS. the ADS issue is one of many. chances are if you come across a problem its likely because of a limitation.

      i've been working on this mod for 7 years, i feel like most of the tricks that are possible have been implemented at this point. i'm still coming up with better compromises though. for instance, recently i implemented a change for v36 that removes the weapon a bot holds whenever they sprint. this improves two things: bots no longer have a weapon floating in front of them when they are using a sprint animation and their first person view (in spectator mode or killcam) no longer has a weapon which better approximates the real animation process of a player lowering their weapon to sprint. its still not real but the point is that its closer to the real process than it was before.

      anyway, i'm glad you like the mod! :)

Hey man, I was one of the very first guys to play v11 when you first released it, and I can genuinely recall how excited I was because I was literally wanting a bot mod where everything would be functional. I gave v35 a play earlier on, and I don't know if this is intentional or just a bug, but there's a bot that sometimes doesn't move at all, and it constantly dies, and it never get's a kill. I guess it just stands in it's spawning position and never moves.

    How many more versions do you think this mod will need before it's 100% complete?

Also, after playing today, it's not just one bot; sometimes it's three bots at once that just don't move at all, and they constantly die automatically (I'm assuming this is an anti-stuck feature, but it still isn't making them unstuck) and I approached an enemy bot suffering this glitch, they didn't react at all; I got right in front of it, didn't kill me.

  29. Hi does anybody here know how to setup an xbox one controller with MW2 with this mod installed? I am a console peasant that discovered this mod when looking for a way to enjoy the better call of duty games, considering that the community moves on just as soon as a new call of duty is released and i really want to play this game's multiplayer again.

    Currently i am able to play the game with bots just fine, but i am not used to the keyboard controls. I tried using steam, but this uses custom executables and connects to a custom server, making things quite difficult. Considering that there are games that have compatibility with the xbox one controller without any additional setup, this might be possible.

    Maybe a program that allows me to map the PC controls throughout any program to an xbox controller would work.

    Apart from that, thank you so much for this mod! It really allows me to enjoy the best call of duty without having to collect friends to fill the void or play on servers where i have 1000 ping.

Use "Pinnacle Game Profiler" I have used it for a quite long time, you have to buy it for a small price (7 USD) and I would recommend paying via PayPal, some users bought it via Amazon and they said they didnt get the license keys. The other option is to buy Padstarr, it´s from the same developer. You can download pre-made profiles from users on the website and edit them.

  31. Is there going to be an MW3 bot mod? I've seen one that basically took the bots Infinity Ward used to test guns, but those bots were literally idiots that just spun around doing nothing. Modern Warfare 3 had more of an impact for me than MW2 did, so if you guys could implement your current MW2 bot mod onto MW3, it'd be amazing.

    1. Plutonium is the only one possible client for implementing the bot mod because it needs lua support. Sadly Plutonium will also be working on a BO2 client, I think it will slow down the work on MW3. They still didn´t release a new update. For me I love MW3 even more than MW2 as well. I hope there will be RSE MW3 soon.

    1. In the main folder (where mw2 is installed) you'll see a Ini file named alterIWnet.ini. open it and you should see that one of the lines say this:
      Nickname=player
      Replace player with whatever you want.

    1. You change it ingame. Open the bot menu and to "Settings", there you can set how many enemy bots and bots on your team.

    2. Hi Steffen, thanks for the reply. In the bot menu ingame, the max bots/players per team is capped at 9. If I want to have more than 9 bots on the opposing team, is there a file I can modify to increase the team limit? For example in an 18 player match, can I make it 1 Allies vs 17 Axis? I've tried to have a look through the files within z_MW2_RSE_Bots_v35.iwd but there's so many I'm not sure which one to change.

    3. I'm currently playing around with MW2 and the RSEBot's gsc files. I managed to change both max team size and bot add count per team to 16. Besides that, I also did alot of changes to both the game and the bots(like infinite ammo hack, severely handicapped bots, buffed players, etc.)

    4. Just did a correction on my work. Bumped it up(max team size and bot add count) to 17 since it's the most sensible thing to do. Pushing it up to 18 above is pointless because of the total player count restriction(which means, it's impossible for one team to fill whole 18 as at least 1 player is required to be on another team for there to have a team game).

I tried following the instructions on how to install it, and it will load the game, it says im running V35 in the bottom right corner of the screen when I boot up MW2, right as MW2 boots up, before you get to the main screen, a pop up message appears and it says that the alterNet server you are trying to connect to is not supported by alterNet. Not really sure what to do.

    1. As far as I'm aware, that's not a problem. I'm getting that warning too, but the game boots up and play fine when I press "ok".

    2. It's normal. The client used is AlterIWnet, the original private server years ago but no longer in operation. Game still launches but there's no servers online because of that.

    1. First, I think it's due. MacPorterJoe, big THANK YOU for this. For without your RSE mod, I'd never stay with MW2 after finishing the campaign in 2010. I got to interact with you back in 2015, RSEv27 was the last version I played before I got back here last month.
      As for my shameless plug of a post. Updated my mod. You can now do an "impromptu" OMA switch via the bot menu. Now you can change your kit anytime. Also reworked the modified damage system. It's untested, but I simply reformed it so that the game would recognized human-vs-human hits and apply proper damage values if so. Again though, it's untested, so it would be cool if there's anyone who would like to test that out.

      on reaching a 100th killstreak(100 kills without dying), following kills gives victims spontaneous combustion, and every headshot is rewarded with an airstrike/missile killstreak.
      Akimbo weapons have greatly reduced spread.
      Average ADS no longer zooms in, ACOG zoom reduced, sniper scope unaffected.
      No film tweaks. Generally, brighter, cleaner look.
      No burst fire delay, you can now re-fire M16, FAMAS, and M93r as fast as you can pull the trigger.

  48. Man, I miss how this mod used to work fine for me. I started playing around v33 I think. I stopped playing and spent a long time away from games in and ever since I tried getting back to it (which happened last year) I couldn't run the game with the mod. I'm not usually commenting on stuff, but I really wish to play this mod again.

    I've always been playing the cracked version of the games and I've got several different errors. First I had the Aviara release and that was the version I was able to play the mod, but all of a sudden the game wouldn't let me play anymore. I'd go to the lobby, select the map and click to start game and I was kicked back to the lobby during the loading screen. Don't recall the error I used to get.

    Recently I redownloaded mw2 and tried again and I can't even run the game, I get and error saying System.xml.xmlexception center blah blah...

    I tried downloading several different versions of the game and I still couldn't play.

    In fact all of the mods of this site doesn't work for me anymore, and they used to work fine back in the day. Not even the CoD4 most recent mod works for me. Hell, not even the original PeZbots for WaW and CoD4 works. I even tried formatting my HD once and installing the old build of Win10 to see if it would fix, guess what? It didn't.

    The only game I've been playing is BO2 with the Plutonium bots, but I'm getting tired of it.

    At this point I already lost hope and accepted that I'll never be able to play this mod again (excuse me for being such a drama queen) but if anyone in this planet has any solution or explanation to why I can't run these effing mods in my games, I'd like to know about it.

    1. My experience, the first one I had was a manually patched (and DLC downloaded) skidrow version. My issue with it is that favela and strike mp maps couldn't load. In the Aviara version, I can get into multiplayer, but RSE bots are very incompatible. Some match they(both allies and enemies) don't attack (just running around the map like blind folks), some match they don't move at all. Some match, bots just got and glitch around, through walls, across the sky, etc. It's a mess.

      Now, the last, and the current version I got was FitGirl(search for the FitGirl-2 DLC version). It works great and is very compatible with RSE, can play on all maps, very little bot issues(which, i guess are just the default hangups of the current version of RSE). The only problem that I encountered is that, after installation, on running RSE(IWNetserver), all the DLC maps won't load.
      I forget specifically how I did it, but I remember, moving the fastfiles(the files with ".ff" as extension) of the DLC maps into the folder where the default(non-DLC) maps where.

      TL;DR. Try the FitGirl 2-DLC version of MW2 and do the "fix" that I did if you encounter the DLC map loading issue.

      If that doesn't work as well, it would be great if you could post, in detail, the error that you're getting so that me, or anyone could hopefully help you out better.

    2. Thanks man, I'll do that right away. I've been trying to make it work for months now. I downloaded some repacks and nothing worked. I'll try downloading the FitGirl release and I'll post the results here.

      It's funny cause I had those same issues you mentioned with the AviaRa version (bots going through walls and sometimes shooting through walls) but it never bugged me at all. I thought it was all part of the mod. I love MW2 so much that I couldn't care less about it. Anyways, I hope it works now and I'll be commenting more frequently from now on.

    3. They still do those, mind you. It's just less frequent on what i'm playing now. I think the problem is Aviara's using a different client-server framework/emulator. I remember that one using iw4x while RSE itself uses the iwnetserver emulator...though i could be wrong and those two are the same thing and I just got confused.

      But what I am sure is another source of incompatibility is that it's heavily modified itself(I remember seeing so many stuffs there that are not in vanilla MW2, like insta-prestige option, unofficial weapons and maps, etc.

    4. IT WORKED! FINALLY! For some reason this is the only version I managed to make it work. Thanks very much buddy, I really love this mod. I have one last question if I may, I'd like to know how/if it's possible to change the FOV in MW2 with this mod. There are some programs out there, but they only work in SP, I figured it's because I'm playing with IWNet so the program doesn't work or something like that. Anyway, if it's not possible it's alright I'm happy to finally play it.

      Someone already said this, but for convenience:

      search for "config_mp.cfg" in the players folder. then look for " bind W "+forward" ".

      in "+forward", add " ;cg_fov 80 "(80 is the max fov allowed on MW2). Overall, that line should look as this:

      bind W "+forward;cg_fov 80"

      What that does is that, at the beginning of the match, or when you respawn, when you move forward, you set your fov cvar to 80. It should be done as that since MW2 always returns to the default fov value when you respawn. It's the best 'clean' solution. For me, i just went and edited some gsc files to force some dvars to suit my liking but I don't think you're into that approach. :)

    1. I think that depends on what Modern Warfare 2 you've got. Some hacked versions of MW2 have it(besides other things like custom maps, some weapon additions, etc.). But it is not preferred as it may be incompatible with RSE.

    1. The Cod games from Infinity Warfare NEVER had native DirectInput and XInput controller support. There are many K&B emulator out there but the best and which I´m using for MANY years now is "Pinnacle Game Profiler" (PGP). You can achieve MUCH with that tool, more than Xpadder, Joy2Key). "Padstarr" is from the same developer of "PGP", he unfortunately passed away one-two years ago. You can still buy both programs, with one license both are included. They´re really REALLY worth the money, trust me. If you don´t much messing around, there are many pre-configured profiles available to download.

    1. MW2 doesn´t have any native controller support. Use Pinnacle Game Profiler (PGP) and/or Padstarr. They are REALLY worth the money. Don´t bother with Joy2Key and Xpadder. Personally I use PGP, so easy to use.

      I think in MW2 you just have to press escape on "select team" menu then you´re a spectator. Or you kill yourself in the beginning of the match/round.

      As I understand, my laptop's a low-middle end specs by 2019 standards. Also as I should now add. I always get unstable performance in the first one-two minutes of the match. After those, my game's pretty much smooth sailing from there. But still, my issue with Karachi, and worse on Bailout, still stands.

    4. Hm MAYBE it´s only happening on high-end equip then? I have a i7 7700k and a GTX 1080. My old pc had a Q6600 and GTX 260 inside. And it worked quite well, didn´t remember any stuttering on Terminal or Afghan. That´s why I´m surprised. I also tested Terminal in MW3 (installed on a SSD) and I get stutters there aswell. Wasted over 2000€ for this shitty pc. I´m VERY sensitive to hitching or what you wanna call it. Like in Far Cry 3-New Dawn and Assassins Creed 2, constant stuttering.

      Anyway, me, i'm used to uneven framerates in games. Given that we're(i mean, the most of the people here in my country, including myself). are used to being well behind the mainstream stuff. Currently playing Dying Light and this is one of the most stutter-y game I played in recent times, but the lot of great things going for it allow me to ignore the framerate issue.

    1. Make sure that in "controls", the 'secondary inventory' key and the 'night vision/stopwatch' key are binded. I'd recommend you bind 'secondary inventory' to the down arrow key, while the 'night vision/stopwatch' key is binded to the up arrow key. From that, you can now access the bot menu in-game by pressing the down arrow key(if you followed my bind recommendations). The 'jump' key(which by default is binded to space bar) Will be your menu selection key. I think the menu is pretty much self explanatory.

      Now, you pointed out you're using a different client (IW4x). I think RSEv35 is created under the alteriwnet(with which the downloaded zip file has included), so if RSE is still not loading/responding, I think that could be your issue. You should be using the included/recommended client emu.

  59. How do you get this working on the new IW4X client. AlterIWNET is gone there is no way to use this mod on IW4X for some reason it seems. The mod loads fine but pressing the secondary inventory key "5" doesn't do anything whereas in alterIWNET it opened the menu IW4X it does nothing.

  61. Btw i dont recomment IW4X to play with bots cause they are too glitched, im using the Alteriwnet client and COD MW2 loader and it works fine, also you can just Find game Press F3 and it will start automatically. So no need to start private game, choose map, spawn bot etc.

    1. As far as I'm concerned, the mod's pretty good where it is. It's getting more and more difficult to add new features, what with the incredibly limited amount of exposed codebase to work with--remember that this game was never open-sourced to begin with. Only being able to work with the outer GSC codebase, not the inner workings of the game engine itself.

    2. Check out "Bot Warfare" for MW1, WAW, MW2 and now even MW3 by INeedGames. It seems like he has developed one baseline bot mod to make it easy to port it to all 4 CoD games. So in every game the bots are consistent in the way they move, act etc (in some ways they´re far more advanced than RSE is tbh, for example being able to jump and drop shot) It´s especially awesome for MW3 since it allows for much faster implementation. They´re already great after only 1 and a half month. Only the logic for bomb modes and for the DLC maps are basically left.   69. For some reason, I can't get the "scr_xpscale" command to work, no matter what I try. I've tried alt-tabbing out of the screen to type it into the alterIWnet console, I've tried binding the command to a certain key on the keyboard on the config_mp.cfg file, and neither work.

    I'm typing the command correctly, so I'm not sure why it's not working.

  74. I have a black screen when opening the iw4mphost, sometimes I can get to the menu, sometimes not, the time for the screen to occur varies. When this happens I can hear an error sound, but I can't see anything. The only way I have to exit once it appeared, is by pressing ENTER, so it takes me back to the desktop, where I get an error, but I can't read it because it disappears very quickly. I also have to clarify that my version of mw2 is 1.0 in English. If anyone can help me, I would be very grateful, I really want to try the multiplayer of mw2.

  82. I keep checking back to see if this was updated again. Since MW2 on PC received a patch, this can't be played anymore without downgrading the version via Steam. MW2 was actually patched because there was a remote code exploit found! If this was updated to be compatible I would really really appreciate it. I come back to this every few months, MW2 is one of my favorite games of all time.
